Balisa, the lingerie fabric manufacturer, how and why does this company transfer to brand "balisa" men's underwear owner, we are pleased to have an interview with Baliso Marketing Manager Ms. Chen.



G: Global Intimate Wear. Chen: Baliso Marketing Manager Ms. Chen.

G:How many times has your company attended the exhibition? How do you think the exhibition this time?
Chen: Every SUIF exhibition we have attended, the major purpose of attendance is to attractive new customers who want to buy our products, and this is helpful for brand spreading and brand extension. Even more, the old customers can get better understanding about our products through the exhibition, because they can direct touch the products and we can have a targeted talk. We don't take the order placing as the most important thing in the exhibition, instead, the brand spreading and following up after the exhibition become more significant.


G:Every company invests more in the area of development to achieve future success. In order to meet consumers' needs, how has Baliso been able to develop new technology?

Chen: Our products aim at middle and high-end lingerie market, in now days, we can find the raw materials from Taiwan or even we can source counterfeit raw materials from domestic with much cheaper price, but Baliso insist to use the best raw materials-Modal Tencel which import from Austria, that's the key to guarantee our brand's and products' core value.


G:Does your company have R&D department? Can you introduce the new products for us?

Chen: Of course, we set the R&D department to adapt the fast-changing marketing. Recently, our company introduced new technology from Taiwan, named coffee carbon fiber technology, which to form clinkers in burning with temperatures up to 1000 degrees C, decomposed into molecules and particles after carbide, and then adhere to polyester fiber. The major function of the fabric including: eco-friendly, warming. The temperatures will rise up 10 degrees C after used this fiber, we have special instrument to do the function testing.


G:As you said just now, the new technology is introduced from Taiwan, I'm wondering that how your company to compete with others?

Chen: We just introduced the core technology, which only import the raw material, but the finished products are still need our own R&D department to improve, such as using coffee fiber in different fabric, it will presents different effect and hand feel, as new high-end products, coffee carbon fabric has been wide use in lingerie, because it has both modal hand feel and wool warming function, but the price is much cheaper than wool, so this is a trend in the future lingerie market.


G:What's the difference between garment fabric and lingerie fabric market?

Chen: There are two kinds of different styling fabric, underwear fabric pay more attention to high density, comfortable and soft, while fashion garment pay more attention to the appearance. Above we mentioned coffee carbon fabric, it is major used for warm underwear.


G:Baliso join Tmall,create the underwear brand of "Baliso",how do you plan the stage during the transformation?

Chen: Creating the brand is one part of group developing, if the company want to be a listed company, it’s not enough to only produce yarn and fabric, so need the diversified development, we want to be the end market, and have advantage on fabric, after Multi-faceted reach and study, we find there are lots of developing potential in China's domestic underwear market, our product focus on men's underwear, now we sell and promote our product via E-business and exhibitions, and we would continue this business mode in future to gain and explore the brand's and company's fame.
